Shocking 7th Pay News !! Senior government employees drawing lesser salary than juniors year after year
New Delhi: It's a matter that has been bleeding the hearts of a number of Railways employees, who are drawing lesser salary than their juniors in the samedepartment. The National Federation of Indian Railways(NFIR) is extremely disappointed that despite the intervention of the Secretary, Department of Personnel and Training in 2014, the Railway Board has tuned a blind eye to their request. The secretary of DoPT had told the Railway Board that the Department of Expenditure had, after the meeting of the National Anomaly Committee, allowed stepping up of pay to promotees with reference to Direct Recruits subject to certain conditions, including there being an element of direct recruitment, an actualjunior receiving more pay etc....Accordingly, Ministry of Railways may take up the matter with the Department of Expenditure for issuing of instructions, if any”.NFIR said that the anamoly was ihnored inthe 7th Pay Commission as well. The employees union has again requested theRailway Board to take action as indicated by the DoP&T and formulate a proposal to the Department of Expenditure (Ministry ofFinance) in consultation with the Federation.SOURCE - ZEE NEWS
